Other things you can do include a clean boot. Disable your Antivirus utility temporarily Create a new account and try installing from that account. Also, this is a fresh copy of Windows 10 and no older version of Office that is installed. I however, did run the MSOffice uninstaller and reboot my machine but I am still getting the same error.

Vijay A. Verma Volunteer Moderator. MSI version is not getting installed if there is any previous C2R installed. If previous C2R was uninstalled,then some of its components may be remaining. You need to uninstall C2R by Easy fix and then reinstall.
